Cookie Policy

Last Updated: April 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Sinisa Dagary ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website at sinisadagary.com and related platforms, including our mobile applications (collectively, the "Site"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them in compliance with applicable global privacy laws.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Sinisa Dagary) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics).

  • First-party cookies — set by Sinisa Dagary directly on your device when you visit our Site.
  • Third-party cookies — set by parties other than the website owner, typically through embedded scripts or iframes.

2. Regional Cookie Compliance

We operate globally and we recognize that different jurisdictions have different rules regarding cookies and tracking technologies. We have designed our cookie practices to comply with applicable laws across the regions where our users are located:

  • EU & UK: Under the ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we require explicit opt-in consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device.
  • Serbia: Under the Law on Personal Data Protection (ZZPL), we apply the same opt-in consent standard as for EU/UK users.
  • United States (California): Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information collected via cookies.

3. Cookie Consent Banner and Your Choices

When you first visit our Site, you will be presented with a Cookie Consent Banner. This banner allows you to review and control which categories of cookies are active on your device.

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies are activated by default and cannot be disabled, as they are essential for the Site to function properly.
  • Non-Essential Cookies (Analytics, functionality, advertising) are disabled by default for EU, UK, and Serbian users and will only be set after you provide explicit consent.
  • You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our Site.

4. Types of Cookies We Use and Duration

The following table describes the categories of cookies we use, including the specific cookies in each category, their provider, their purpose, and how long they persist on your device.

Strictly Necessary

  • __cf_bm (Cloudflare) — Distinguishes between humans and bots to protect the Site from automated abuse. Duration: 30 minutes.
  • session_id (Sinisa Dagary) — Maintains your active login session while you are using the Site. Duration: Session.
  • cookie_consent (Sinisa Dagary) — Stores your cookie consent preferences so you are not asked again on subsequent visits. Duration: 1 year.
  • __stripe_mid (Stripe) — Used by Stripe for fraud prevention and to ensure secure payment processing. Duration: 1 year.
  • csrf_token (Sinisa Dagary) — Provides Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection to prevent unauthorized actions on your account. Duration: Session.

Analytics & Performance

  • _ga, _ga_* (Google Analytics) — Calculates visitor, session, and campaign data and tracks Site usage for analytics reports. Duration: 2 years.

Advertising & Targeting

  • _fbp (Meta/Facebook) — Used by Meta to deliver, measure, and improve the relevance of advertisements, and to track conversions from Meta ads. Duration: 3 months.
  • bcookie, li_sugr (LinkedIn) — Used by LinkedIn to track professional network engagement and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Duration: 1 year.

5. Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) for Analytics

While we generally rely on your explicit consent for analytics cookies, in certain limited circumstances — such as when analyzing aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the security and performance of our Site — we may process data under a legitimate interest basis.

We have conducted a Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) for these cases to ensure that our interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms. The LIA concluded that the use of anonymized, aggregated analytics data presents a minimal privacy impact and provides a clear and proportionate benefit in improving service quality and security for all users.

You retain the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest at any time. To exercise this right, please contact us at info@sinisadagary.com.

6. Google Consent Mode v2

We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2 on our Site. This framework allows Google Analytics and Google Ads tags to dynamically adjust their behavior based on the consent choices you make in our Cookie Consent Banner.

When you decline analytics or advertising cookies, Google tags will operate in a cookieless, privacy-preserving mode. In this mode, Google may still collect aggregated and anonymized signals — without identifying you individually — to enable basic conversion modeling and to preserve the accuracy of aggregate reporting. No personally identifiable information is collected or stored when consent is withheld.

7. LinkedIn Insight Tag

Our Site uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that enables in-depth campaign reporting and unlocks valuable insights about our Site visitors.

  • Purpose: Campaign reporting, retargeting website visitors, and unlocking insights about professional audience segments.
  • Data Collected: Metadata such as IP address, timestamp, page events, and — for LinkedIn members — professional profile fields when LinkedIn is open in the same browser.
  • Data Handling: IP addresses are encrypted and anonymized by LinkedIn within 7 days, and anonymized data is deleted within 90 days.
  • Opt-Out: LinkedIn members can control advertising preferences and opt out of the Insight Tag via their LinkedIn account settings under "Advertising data."

8. Do Not Track (DNT) Signals

Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to such signals.

However, you can still control your privacy effectively using our Cookie Consent Banner, which gives you granular control over which types of cookies are active on your device. You may also use your browser controls as described in Section 11 below.

9. How to Opt-Out of Third-Party Services

In addition to using our Cookie Consent Banner, you can opt out of specific third-party tracking and advertising services directly through the tools those services provide:

  • Google Analytics: You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
  • Meta (Facebook): You can manage your ad preferences through your Facebook account settings or use the industry opt-out tools provided by the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.
  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn members can opt out of the Insight Tag via their LinkedIn account settings. Non-members can opt out via LinkedIn's off-site opt-out mechanism.
  • EU Users: You can use the Your Online Choices platform (youronlinechoices.eu) to opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies.
  • US Users: You can visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page to manage advertising preferences across participating ad networks.

10. Cookie Audit Schedule

We conduct a full Cookie Audit every 3 months, or whenever we integrate new third-party services that may introduce new cookies. This audit reviews all active cookies on our Site for accuracy, necessity, and compliance with applicable privacy laws.

Upon the completion of each audit, this Cookie Policy will be updated to reflect any changes in the cookies we use. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.

11. Browser Controls

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Site may not function as intended. The method for managing cookies varies by browser. You can find instructions for common browsers through their help documentation:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

For mobile browsers, please consult the documentation for your specific device and operating system to find out how to manage cookies.
